COUNTRY MUSIC

I got into country music when I was a senior in high school.  I used to hate it before because it was too darn "hick" for me.  Okay, so it was a Shania video that initially caught my attention, but it was country music that really got to me.  Country music is about life and the things we go through at all stages of our life.  The instruments are different, but it's the lyrics that got to me.

I got my first album when I went to blockbuster music to check out Metallica's Load or Re-Load before it came out.  I listened to the boyz, and naturally the album was not for sale....However, Shania's came out that very day and I figured, I had extra time on my hands and I was going to buy a cd that day anyway, so why not give a listen.  Song after song after song....let's say I was pleasantly surprised and happily bought my very first Country Album...Shania Twain's "Come on Over."  Since then, I've bought a ton of country cds and 99.5 is definitely one of my presents.  I will admit to the fact that a lot of this music does sound more pop than country.
