I don't think everyone could understand the importance of this trip...seeing Mamunas and his Huntly Mustangs in their last regular season game. This was more than a mere middle school football game...it was my lil brother, Mamunas, doing something I loved doing for many years...and sharing in his excitement. I went there as a motivator, coach, and with hopes of inspiring him to a certain extent...provided he loves what he's doing (after this past weekend, I know he does), giving him a little extra encouragement always helps.
Quick Funny about Hamid: He stormed into the room I was sleeping in because that's where he goes to calm down while throwing his mini-"tantrums" and didn't know he had a visitor in the house. So after his dad put in his eye drops, it hurt the lil fella so bad that he had to go and do some screamin'.
He screamed all the way down the hall, into the room, slammed the door, and "BOO!!!" This time he screamed like a girl! Man he was shocked! He went and hid in my shirt that was on the chair.
But the rest of the weekend we bonded! Mashallah he's talking now and today was his first day of school! Keep up the good work Hamid, I'm proud of you too! Hamid was counting, talking about tackles, and garages all weekend long.
Here are some pics I got from Pupu from when Dada was here:

And of course I got to hang out with my other brothers in Chicago, Sid and Al. I must admit fellas, it was a lil different this time but I had a blast! Thanks for the good time. I wish we had the camera in the car, cause if I did, here are the pics I woulda had to have included:
1. Sid, dancin' in the car singin' "When I move you move." - holy crap that was unreal!
2. I think the trip was worth it just to see Ali singin': "Keeesh Keeesh keeesh Keesh"
3. Thaiybawa cuttin' the lawn.
4. The score on NBA Live 2004...what's that 2 games in a row Sid?
5. Throwing around the football on a beautiful Sunday afternoon.
6. And last but not least, "Say cheese, Monterrey Jack!!!!" - Who the hell woulda thought? What a flippin' coincidence.
7. Goin back to Sid and his rendition of "Suga Suga" ...LMAO!
8. Oh and yes the Lions suck, end of story, end of season.
Most of all, thanks for Sunday Afternoon fellas, I can't believe it's been so long, but it was long overdue. Inshallah, next time I visit we have to look at some old pictures:-)
