November 27th, 2005 was the greatest day in my life since the day I found out I was going to become a Mamu, which means "uncle" in urdu. There are lots of responsibilities that go with becoming a mamu including, but not limited to the following:
1.) Spoil, Spoil, Spoil her as much as
possible!
2.) Love, Love, Love her as much as possible!
3.) Sing to her and dance with her when she won't sleep (could be
detrimental...u know what I'm talking about if you've heard me sing)
4.) Change her diapers
5.) Find t-shirts and bibs for her to wear that say "I Love my Mamu"...might
have to make one myself
6.) Hold her hand when she begins to walk
7.) Finish her Gerber Banana Cereal if she can't finish it
8.) Help Q get back into shape
9.) Make her the center of AKAawesome.com!
10.) 2 words: BURP SPECIALIST!
As it turns out, Rashad and I were so sure she wasn't
gonna deliver that night we fell asleep in the family room...only to Q waking us
up telling us "Dude, we gotta go!" We get up, get ready, grab her stuff,
pack up the car and we're on our way. We get to the hospital and take Q
right in. We waited about a half hour before someone wheels her out in
which Q exclaims, "I'm half-way there." Rashu just got telling me how the
first delivery tends to be the longest, and how she'll most likely deliver in
the morning. So a couple hours later I became a Mamu! 5.08 oz born
at 12:13am...where she shares a birthday with Frank Szczepanksi...an ol' uncle
of mine. Enough talking, check out some pics of my beautiful neice who I
promise to love my whole life and will protect as much as possible...and I'm
already warning guys to be careful when she becomes a teenager! We ain't
havin' that!
