Playstation 2
The first video game system we ever owned was in our Legendary Conversion Van we bought in 1987...it was a Ford Econoline 150, Designer Series II by Sands.
I'll never forget that van, nor the trips we made in it. Anyway, the Van had a tv in it and an Atari 5200...a system that was virtually impossible to buy games for. Till the day we sold that Van, it never occurred to me that I could have taken it out and played inside the house. Funny how you think when you're a kid...or don't think as in this case. We managed to take this bad boy to Florida...thank goodness it had a T.V. Ask Tarriq Bhai and Maliha Apa what stood out the most in this trip...I'm sure they won't fail to embarrass me.
Next, we were on to Nintendo! We're talkin Mario Bros., Duckhunt, Metroid, Ninja Gaiden, Bionic Commando, Mega Man, Tecmo Super Bowl, Double Dribble, Strider, and more. Our friends, cousins, and other family members shared some of our best memories trying to beat certain levels or going head to head.
Next, the Super Nintendo and Genesis phase was kind of a blur. All we played were the sports games...but I'll never forget the first day I played Altered Beast. Video games turned a new stone...
Playstation continued the same competitive theme between cousins, but I really think the coming of Playstation 2 (man that sounds so damn nerdy) has made things as realistic as ever, I think being the "Big Kids" we are, can really appreciate how fun the games can really be. As of right now, I am 9-7 vs. Esa in head-to-head action. I have to keep track, cause anytime he has recalled any games from the past, somehow he has managed to win them all. Go figure!
Must buys for the sports fan:

MLB High Heat 2003
Now, even though I only buy sports games, my buddy Muneeb left his X-Box over and I played "Halo." The control is awesome in that game... I actually got dizzy trying to figure it out. As expected, Money destroyed me!
